Laurent Delporte discovered the event sector at an early age. The creation and organisation of events have since then become second nature to him.

A graduate from HEC Entrepreneurs, with an unusual and unique academic and professional path, he has, more than 20 years of experience in event organisation, whether in business or in charities. He also benefits from a deep communication, marketing and team management expertise.

Laurent Delporte was first fully involved in the organisation of the Communica festival in Deauville (5,000 visitors) as Head of strategic partnerships. He then became Communication and development manager for the HEC group, where he notably organised the 25-year celebration of HEC Entrepreneurs at the French National Assembly (the event included 600 prominent economic and political figures).

At the same time, he held the position of President of the European Youth Parliament, which he had founded and which he directed for 14 years (a European-wide NGO which has involved more than 20,000 young people and organised more than 100 workshops across Europe). Laurent Delporte has organised around 50 events across European countries (seminars, conferences, competitions…) in presence of leading political and business leaders (French Prime Minister, government ministers, MPs, EU commissioners, CEOs…).

With this experience, Laurent Delporte joined at 30 years old the luxury department of the Accor Group where he began a career in operations management. As Deputy director in charge of accommodation and client services at the hotel Sofitel in Paris Porte de Sèvres, he managed a staff of 120 people as well as 20 service managers. He restructured the hotel management and improved client services (quality certification). These experiences have provided him with a subtle and deep insider knowledge of how high quality and luxury hotels operate.

As part of the repositioning of the Sofitel brand into the luxury sector, he then took on further responsibility as International brand manager of Sofitel Luxury Hotels. This experience allowed him to refine his vision of event organisation by acquiring marketing expertise in the luxury sector. He created InspiredMeetings ©, a new way of organising business meetings, service offered in more than 150 hotels across the world. Based on his former experiences, he organised international events for the Accor Group, such as the ''Earth Guest'' day, which combined 130 events in more than 40 countries.

Laurent Delporte has designed his own method over time. An event must be a memorable experience. He sees it as a source of inspiration, which also requires on-going rigor, whilst paying particular attention to the very small details that make big events.


Laurent Delporte has created of his own label « L O U I S event » to design and organise dedicated events for your national or international projects. L O U I S event gives substance to these projects, inspired in part by the legacy of the French etiquette applied to contemporary events and future trends.
